Preparation

Students will have the opportunity to present their own work to their peers. These short presentations are supposed to further the exchange of ideas, to practice the skill of presenting, and to generally introduce oneselves to the community of young scientists. Each talk is supposed to be roughly 10 minutes, with a further 5 minutes of discussion. Presenters may choose not to post these talks on the indico page for any reason (typically because of collaboration requirements).

In addition to the slides, participants will also write a summary of their talk of one to two pages in length.

There is a LaTeX class and a template file for this purpose.

Talk summary upload instructions

  • First, download the files: mlabstract.cls and formular.tex. The first one is a class file for latex that you do not need to edit, but must be in your local directory. The file formular.tex is a template file, which you edit with your contribution and compile by running pdflatex formular.tex. You can find the files here.
  • Once you are happy with your written summary, please upload the compiled pdf file to a place we will provide for you. There will be an email from us with a link provided, once the time comes.
