Participation at the Herbstschule HEP is by invitation only. So how do you get invited? Let’s start in chronological order:
The organisers of the Herbstschule receive nominations for prospective participants from experts in particle physics located in Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Switzerland. If you are interested to be nominated, contact the expert nearest your location. Here is the list of nominating experts.
The purpose of going through nominators is to ensure a highly talented pool of participants.
If you succeed in getting chosen, you will receive an invitation to register on our indico page. At that point you may decline the invitation without registering (and your invitation will be transferred to the next prospective participant) or accept it in full. This means:
- You will apply for a new account on our indico page. After your account is approved, you will receive an email notification.
- Proceed with the registration for the Herbstschule. We ask you to commit to the full length (both weeks) of the school. IMPORTANT: Please state your private address on the registration form such that our system can generate personalized invoices for the school fee. You can also state any dietary restrictions/preferences on the registration form.
